I’m working on a big Halloween dupe and also about to pop out a baby any day now. It’s a race as to which one I will finish first. Posting will become less frequent but I hope to keep this website going and it might naturally become more kid focused. Either way, I will still be obsessed with Halloween.
I love going to look at new Halloween decor as much as the next haunt-obsessed person, but I’ve just become aware of AI generated products that will yuck even the most Halloween obsessed person’s yum. This push towards using AI is even more reason to make your own decorations and art. While we knew in previous years the art we bought at Michaels or Hobby Lobby is mass produced and derivative, AI is even worse because there may be obvious mistakes, along with all the other problems of this technology.
This is a great summation of the issues with AI decor. The two stems is embarrassing, but if you are an artist or creative in any way, the theft is of course the much bigger issue. I will bring a critical eye to any decor I see in stores, and I hope you do too! I’ve always been very selective on what I buy, as I want something I like AND something I can’t make myself. Reward true artistry, avoid buying things just because, and let your own creative juices flow. Happy haunting.
