In college I used to buy this pink liqueur called Nuvo, mix it with cranberry and lime juice, and make a drink I called the Nuva ring, because well…Nuvo, Nuva. They were new back then and advertised all the time. Upsettingly, mostly because it makes me feel old, they’ve stopped making this liqueur. So, I had to go the store and find another pink drink. I settled on some strawberry gin. Now gin is polarizing, and some people will find it too medicinal no matter what mixers are used, but I think this drink is so pretty, and it packs a wallop.
- 2 jiggers strawberry gin
- 1 jigger lemon juice
- 1/2 jigger of grenadine
Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake about 10 seconds, or for me, when your fingers become too icy to hold on to the shaker anymore. Enjoy.
