Melon and mint sound like a weird combination, but honestly not any weirder than eggs and brandy. The liqueur gives it sweetness and of course its vibrant green color, but the aftertaste is all peppermint. If that sounds appealing to you, whip some of these up and put on your favorite Grinch version (1966 cartoon for me).
- 1 jigger Midori liqueur
- 1/2 jigger of milk
- 1/2 jigger of heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp peppermint extract
- crushed up peppermint candy canes (optional)
Rim your glass with candy canes by lightly wetting the rim with water, then roll in the crushed candy. In a cocktail shaker, add the liqueur, milk, cream, and extract. Shake for about a minute, and then strain into your glass. Enjoy!
