I made this a few years ago after seeing some the decorative pumpkins at Joanns. Crafting sometimes tries our patience, and gluing all those pumpkins on definitely took longer than I thought! The result was worth it though. Fake maple leaves and some ribbon complete the look, as well as cover up any inevitable hot glue.
- Styrofoam wreath form
- Mini craft pumpkins (These added up quick, I think I used 4 or 5 bags)
- Ribbon
- Autumn leaves
- Hot glue gun, glue sticks
- Acrylic paint (optional)
- Glue pumpkins in a circular pattern around the wreath. You most likely will have to glue some pumpkins on top of each other to cover the Styrofoam completely.
- Paint pumpkins with color of choice, if doing so. It was necessary for me because I had to buy different colored pumpkins halfway through when I ran out. If you buy enough supplies, this won’t be necessary. I like the metallic look though. Allow to dry completely.
- Glue leaves throughout the wreath, focusing on spots that may not be completely covered with pumpkins.
- Weave ribbon around the wreath, ending in a huge bow at the top. If you need a bow tutorial, I’ve found this helpful. https://kippiathome.com/how-to-make-a-bow-the-easy-way/ There are tons of tutorials out there, but I really appreciate she has it written out AND a video. I’m the kind of person that would rather read the instructions than watch a video.
- Hang and enjoy! I’ll bring this guy out after Halloween and take a better picture.
